Mercy or Divine Intervention

Mother, I do not know how to worship; I am without austerity; I have
neither devotion nor knowledge. Be gracious, Mother, and out of Thy
infinite Mercy grant me love for Thy Lotus feet.

(Ramakrishna, `The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna’ )

Prayer to Our Lady, Mother of Mercy
Blessed Virgin Mary, who can worthily repay you with praise and thanks for having rescued a fallen world by your generous consent! Receive our gratitude, and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins. Take our prayers into the
sanctuary of heaven and enable them to make our peace with God.

Holy Mary, help the miserable, strengthen the discouraged, comfort the
sorrowful, pray for your people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all
women consecrated to God. May all who venerate you feel now your help
and protection. Be ready to help us when we pray, and bring back to us
the answers to our prayers. Make it your continual concern to pray for
the people of God, foryou were blessed by God and were made worthy to
bear the Redeemer of the world, who lives and reigns forever. Amen.

Translation:
Obeisance to Vishnu, the dispeller of  the fear of rebirths, the one lord of all the regions, possessed of the tranquil form, lying on a bed of snake, from
whose navel sprung the lotus, the lord of all celestials, the support of
the universe, similar to the sky, possessed of the colour of a cloud and
possessed of handsome limbs, the lord of Lakshmi having lotus like
eyes, and realized by yogi’s in meditation.

“All-Merciful Lord! Time is fleeting. The senses are revolting. The mind is jumping. Maya is deluding. The three fires are burning. The five afflictions are tormenting. Friends are disturbing. Diseases are troubling. The heat of the summer is scorching. Flies, mosquitoes, bugs and scorpions are teasing. The charms of the world are tempting. I can neither concentrate nor meditate. I cannot do anything in the spiritual path without Thy benign grace. O Lord! Thou art an ocean of mercy. Bless me. If I get a drop from that ocean, will it dry up? -Prayer by Swami Sivananda, from the book titled “Lives of Saints” by Swami Sivananda

The Prayer of Our Lord
(in the original Aramaic)
Abwûn
“Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,
d’bwaschmâja
who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.
Nethkâdasch schmach
May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.
Têtê malkuthach.
Your Heavenly Domain approaches.
Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d’bwaschmâja af b’arha.
Let Your will come true – in the universe (all that vibrates)
just as on earth (that is material and dense).
Hawvlân lachma d’sûnkanân jaomâna.
Give us wisdom (understanding, assistance) for our daily need,
Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna
daf chnân schwoken l’chaijabên.
detach the fetters of faults that bind us, (karma)
like we let go the guilt of others.
Wela tachlân l’nesjuna
Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations),
ela patzân min bischa.
but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l’ahlâm almîn.
From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act,
the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.
Amên.
Sealed in trust, faith and truth.
(I confirm with my entire being)

When the dark wood fell before me And all the paths were overgrown When the priests of pride say there is no other way I tilled the sorrows of stone I did not believe because I could not see Though you came to me in the night When the dawn seemed forever lost You showed me your love in the light of the stars Cast your eyes on the ocean Cast your soul to the sea When the dark night seems endless Please remember me Then the mountain rose before me By the deep well of desire From the fountain of forgiveness Beyond the ice and the fire Cast your eyes on the ocean Cast your soul to the sea When the dark night seems endless Please remember me Though we share this humble path, alone How fragile is the heart Oh give these clay feet wings to fly To touch the face of the stars Breathe life into this feeble heart Lift this mortal veil of fear Take these crumbled hopes, etched with tears We’ll rise above these earthly cares Cast your eyes on the ocean Cast your soul to the sea When the dark night seems endless Please remember me… Angels ~ Dante’s Prayer by Lorena McKennitt

Let me rememberInfinite Goddess,
when I pray each day,
for shelter for the homeless
let me knot ignore the pet without a home.As I ask for protection for those
in areas of turmoil and unrest,
let me not forget endangered species of life.

As I ask you Goddess for assistance for those
afflicted by fire, flood, earthquake, storm or drought,
let me remember, that this includes every living thing.

In seeking miracle cures for human disease,
may I also speak for the well-being of the planet itself.
